Sleeping Beauty AU

It was one of the more interesting things that had happened to SG-1 in well...in a very long time. If ever.

It all started when the team had gone to a planet that had looked straight out of Munckinland from the Wizard of Oz. Jack had been unable to help cracking little people with lollipops jokes and Teal'c had gotten the duty of explaining to Jonas why it was supposed to be funny until Daniel finally put a stop to it by offering to show Jonas the movie when they returned to Earth. It was a simple enough mission really, just making friends with the locals. The villagers, who were not munchkins, wer very welcoming and had even allowed SG-1 to participate in one of their festivals held in the Forest of Rainbow Trees. After spending a night on the planet, SG-1 had returned to Earth and undergone the usual physicals and de-briefings before each going to their respective quarters to get a good night's sleep.

It was the next morning when things turned strange. Upon waking, Jack had found himself turned into a hairy, ugly beast. Dr. Lam had done all the testing she could think of but could not figure out how this transformation could have happened. She wanted to run more tests but Jack ran out after a frantic call came in to the SGC from Sam.

Sam had woken up to find that her house was now a tower and her hair had grown to a ridiculous length overnight. She tried to get out but found that there was no door out of her room and there was some sort of force field on the window that prevented her escape that way, not to mention there was really no way down. When Jack arrived, still hairy and ugly, he convinced her to throw down her hair so he could climb up. Once he was up, Sam had started off on a ramble about how this could be happening, what may have happened on the planet to cause it and how they could reverse it when it was Jack's quick thinking, and not his urge to shut her up with a kiss, that solved it. After the quick kiss, Jack, Sam and Sam's house all returned to normal.

And just in time for another frantic call, this time from the SGC. Teal'c had woken up, having been turned into a dragon like creature from Jaffa folk lore. On the way back, Jack and Sam drove by Daniel's house to check on him and spotted the beanstalk in the backyard, with no sign of Daniel. As they approached the beanstalk, it suddenly grew thorn and so they realized he'd have to solve this on his own.

When they returned to the SGC, they went immediately to Daniel's lab and looked for anything that had to do with Jaffa folk lore, as it only made sense due to their own experiences living out Rapunzel and Beauty and the Beast, with Daniel off on his Jack and the Beanstalk adventure. After some searching, and helping wrangle the Teal'c dragon into the gate room, they found the story. There was a story in Jaffa myth that dishonorable warriors were doomed to turn into dragons unless they could find a virgin to forgive them of their dishonor. That caused one of the most embarrassing PA announcements Jack had ever had to make but finally they had a few candidates, male and female. When none of them worked, Sam theorized that perhaps it had to be a Jaffa virgin to satisfy the story and arrangements were made to send a team to Chu'lac to retrieve them.

It was while they were waiting for the team to return that both Sam and Jack realized that they hadn't seen any sign of Jonas all day. They quickly ran from the control room to his quarters, hoping he was alright. They banged on his door and when they didn't get an answer, Jack used his authority to get the door opened. And there was Jonas, laid out on a beautiful alter adorned with flowers and dressed like a fairy tale prince. And dead asleep as apparently, the story of Sleeping Beauty had traveled to Langara with it's people from Earth. Dr. Lam examined him and proclaimed him perfectly fine, just asleep. What came as a pleasant surprise was the number of volunteers, of both genders, who were willing to kiss Jonas in an attempt to wake him, including all of the members of SG-1 once Daniel had returned with a large golden bird and Teal'c had been turned back to normal.

But nothing worked, not even going back to the planet in search for a solution. Jonas slept on and the others began to wonder if he'd ever wake up.

Cassie grinned and poked his stomach gently. "I don't know. You don't look stuffed." All right, so maybe she was using the other definition of 'stuffed'.

Jonas just laughed, and not just because he was a bit ticklish. "With all the Jello forced on me, I'm amazed I don't jiggle."

Cassie smoothed her hand along his stomach. "Well, no jiggling for you." She smiled up at him and licked her lips.

When Cassie licked her lips, Jonas couldn't help staring for a moment. He bit his own lip before looking at Cassie with a hopeful smile. "So...what are you doing here?"

"I was hoping..." Cassie began and realized suddenly that she sounded stupid. Maybe he had kissed her, but that was then and this was now and there was no way that he was going to want to pick up where they had left off. Right?

"I was hoping that you'd show up. I wanted to make sure you were okay."

Unfortunately, Cassie reaction made Jonas think the same thing. He really wasn't good at this, since, under Kelownan culture, someone would have already approached Cassie for him so he'd know.

But, hadn't the kiss been telling enough? When she was the only one on base who could wake him?

"I am okay." He said simply with a small smile before moving to sit next to her on the couch. "Are you?"

"I'm fine," Cassie promised. She reached over and placed a hand on his knee, squeezing it softly. "See, I ended up waking up when someone shook me, unlike some people." She grinned just to let him know that she was teasing him.

But the teasing was telling and Jonas' smile brightened. "Well...perhaps they can try it again and do it properly."

And he leaned in to do just that.

Cassie's lips parted when he kissed her and she sucked in a sharp breath. She pressed closer to him and placed a hand on his chest. She was almost waiting for the inevitable knock on the door and the interruption that was sure to happen.

As if reading her mind, Jonas grinned when they broke the kiss, leaning into her. "They've promised to leave me along for the rest of the day. Many of them are still recovering from this morning as well."

She ran her tongue along his lips and then looked at him curiously. "Just what are you suggesting, Jonas?" Her fingers trailed along his neck and she shifted closer to him. She knew what she hoped he was suggesting. She just wasn't sure whether they were on the same page or not.

In all honesty, Jonas hadn't had much in mind beside wanting to kiss her again. "Just that we won't be disturbed like before." He said simple, answering her question even as he leaned into the touch on his neck.

"No?" She took her hand away but leaned in and replaced them with her lips. "Good," she murmured as she dragged her teeth along the skin there. Her words blew soft, hot air against his skin. "I was hoping that's what you'd say."

Jonas moaned softly, starting to get the idea. He still wasn't completely confident in the forwardness of the Tau'ri, he'd courted Kiana for months after all, but he would try for Cassie sake. He did want this. "I'm guessin gyou have something planned?"

"No plans," she promised. Her lips curled up and she sucked gently at his pulse point. "Ideas, maybe, but those I can blame you for. All I did was kiss you awake." All right, maybe that wasn't all she'd done.

"Blame me?" Jonas said indignantly but with a laugh. "What did I do besides wake up?" He moaned softly at her sucking on his neck, as his hands moved to pull her closer.

She nipped his neck a little harder for that and grinned against his skin. "You kissed me back, that's what you did." She'd planned, such a plan as it was, to just kiss him once. To be sure. She hadn't planned to make out with him.

The nip earned her a sharp intake of breath and a small jump in surprise. "You didn't seem to mind." Jonas pointed out rather breathlessly. "I wanted to actually remember it."

"Do I sound like I mind?" she asked as she moved her lips up to his ear. She nipped that and almost slid into his lap as she moved even closer to him.

Jonas gasped and closed his eyes. "No...no you really don't." This was new and different...he found that he didn't mind much either.

"And you don't sound like you mind." She hoped. She, at least, was enjoying the sounds he was making.

"No...It's a bit faster then I'm used to...but I don't mind!" He added the last bit quickly so she wouldn't stop. Jonas wrapped his arms around her, keeping her in his lap besides.

She pulled her head back a little and watched him, licking her lips as she did. "You sure? I don't want to rush you." Even if her body was itching to do rush him.

"Maybe...maybe I want to try this forward thing..." He said with a smile as he leaned into to nip playfully at the tongue that peaked out to lick her lips. "I'm thinking I could like it."

Cassie yelped a little when he nipped at her and she squirmed in his lap again. "Does this mean that I'm a bad influence?" she teased.
